Restricted Master Key Systems

Regardless of the type, or brand, of lock system installed, if the keys are able to be duplicated without management’s authorisation or knowledge, the integrity of the system is virtually non-existent.

Steve Burton Security Supplies can provide master key systems which guarantee the security of keys and peace of mind for management and staff. These master key systems also go hand in hand with our range of key control products.

Careful and accurate assessment of a client’s needs is required to provide the most functional, practical and economical key system, which caters for not only present day requirements, but also those in the future.

Restricted key systems can be specifically designed whereby authorised personnel need only carry one key to access their permitted areas. This eliminates the need for “the bunch” or multiple keys to carry out day to day operations.

These systems are also able to be designed to incorporate not only main building door locks but also auxiliary locks (eg. Filing cabinets, padlocks, cupboards, electronic switch locks etc.), providing total key and access control over the whole premises.

Restricted Master Key Systems at Steve Burton Security

Steve Burton Security Supplies have been using BiLock Maximum Security Cylinders since the early 1980’s and continue to use this award winning product in our master key systems today, using the brand new BiLock Exclusive.

BiLock Exclusive

BiLock Exclusive is the new life of BiLock, which has a 20 year patent to 2034, protecting against imitation, or replication. Besides unparalleled protection, the BiLock Exclusive has a re-engineered, stronger QCC (Quick Change Core) feature, which allows users and locksmiths alike to change a lock combination in a matter of seconds, in the event of having lost or stolen keys. This feature also greatly reduces servicing and maintenance costs.

BiLock Exclusive’s colour coded 3 piece key heads are available in 22 different colours, giving a total of 8,500 different colour combinations.

BiLock Exclusive key heads are also available in a Mifare chipped version for use in electronic access control systems. This means one credential for users on sites that have a mixture of BiLock locks and electronic access controlled doors.

Part of BiLock’s success is due to it being compatible with most brands of locking systems. Not only for the more common types of door cylinders but also for subsidiary locks that are not usually available to be incorporated into standard master keyed systems.

Existing BiLock systems can also be expanded or upgraded at any time, allowing the BiLock Exclusive key to work in existing BiLock systems as well as the new BiLock Exclusive system.

A company can now feel secure knowing that all their lockable areas are under the control of the maximum security BiLock Exclusive.

The BiLock Exclusive range is also fully compatible with all of the existing BiLock range of cylinders.

Colour Coded Construction Keying

Something as simple as colour coding to differentiate the level of access during the construction phase offers the developer or builder a genuine, added dimension when using QCC in security during construction.

It is simply a three tiered system of access using blue, green and red plastic inserts in ALCO’s brass, construction plug -

Phase 1 - The “Blue” level!
The blue-coloured insert is used during the initial general construction stage of the project through to the completion of the shell. For instance, access may be limited to say, plumbers!

Phase 2 - The “Green” level!
By simply removing the core and replacing it with a new core containing the green insert, the developer/builder will then be covered through to lock-up stage and/or finishing trades. For instance, access may be limited to say, electricians and plasterers!

Phase 3 - The “Red” level!
Again, by simply removing the “green” coloured insert and replacing with a new core containing the red insert, these locks take the developer/builder through to completion of finished trades and/or through the defects period and on to actual hand over to the tenant/ owner/s. For instance, access may be limited to say, painters and decorators!

Phase 4 - Occupant takes ownership!
Again, by simply removing the core [or plug] containing the red insert and replacing it with a keyed-up plug [in Chrome Plate, Satin Chrome, Polished Brass or other finish offered by Australian Lock Company]. On handover, the BiLock New Generation key is presented to the proud new owner. This key has not been on site previously and any perceived risk to the keying integrity has been eliminated.

Security

Galaxy‘s special-built computerised key cutting, engraving & cylinder coding machine will only work with the compatible software module which is only authorised by the Australian Lock Company. As this software is stored externally it offers even further protection for the integrity of the keys, cylinders & system.

Retrofit and Recombinate

The uniqueness of Galaxy revolves around its ability to remove the centre core to change the programming of the lock. Factory built cylinders do not require pinning and therefore offer more confidence for product installation and consistency. Galaxy cylinders retrofit most new and existing applications. Cylinders have programmed holes on the code bar for coding (no removing cylinders from the door to recombinate cylinder).
